I officially do not like crepes

Or crêpes, or however they are spelled. (they’re pronounced like crap with an S, now I know why…)

The rest of Paris however— wonderful! It’s like New Orleans- but cleaner. And despite a lack of beignets, they have public transportation and it’s not so hot and humid that you feel like you’re in some sort of damp Hell.

The people weren’t so snobby as I’d expected. They had wonderful shops with brands I’d never even heard of (but must still be designer b/c them price tags had A LOT of numbers on them). We saw all of the major landmarks, like good little tourists. We rode the boat along the Seine River. The tour guide spoke in English, but her French accent was so thick I had to translate occassionally for Armin.

Armin loved Versailles. What is it with Germans and gardens?

Armin loved Versailles. What is it with Germans and gardens? Also, I made him pose like that. Worst wife ever.

We ate croissants and cheese and steak frites and macaroons (OMIGOD, macaroons!!!). I even ate my first falafel there (don’t ask). But crêpes were like the ONE thing I did not like. Blech. We even ate at some fancy place where they have like farm-fresh products and whole grain crêpes. Those were worse. Like eating a cardboard pancakes…
